Our Approach to Regenerative Agriculture
At 4A Ranch, we practice regenerative agriculture because we believe it addresses the land, animals, and ecosystem more holistically than certification-based systems alone.
While we are NOT USDA Certified Organic and do not / cannot market our products as “Organic”, many of our practices meet or exceed organic standards.
Where regenerative agriculture goes further is in its focus on outcomes rather than checklists.
Through our intentional pasture rotation, adaptive management, and carefully selected feed rations (for non-ruminant animals who receive feed rations),
we prioritize soil health, animal welfare, and long-term resilience of the land.
Our goal is not to chase labels, but to steward the land and livestock responsibly, producing honest food while improving the ground year after year.
Pasture-Raised Chicken
Our pasture-raised chickens are moved regularly on open pasture and managed in a low-stress environment that prioritizes animal welfare and land stewardship. Birds are allowed to forage naturally while receiving a carefully selected feed ration to support steady growth and overall health.

Pasture-Raised Eggs
Our laying hens are raised on pasture during the grazing season and fed an organic, soy-free feed. We focus on bird health, clean living conditions, and responsible management rather than maximum production.
During winter months, hens are housed indoors for their safety and well-being, ensuring consistent care through cold weather while maintaining high welfare standards.
The result is eggs with rich color, firm whites, and dependable quality.

Grass-Fed Grass-Finished Sheep
Our sheep are raised entirely on pasture and finished on grass without grain supplementation. Through rotational grazing, we support animal health while improving pasture condition and long-term soil function.
This approach produces lamb that reflects the land it was raised on.
